A gentleman and women on cycles supporting one another.

We would like to invite you to a day out at The 8th World Congress on Active Ageing 2012.

A celebration of diversity and inclusion in active ageing:

Tuesday 14th – Friday 17th August 2012

SECC, Glasgow

Senior Pass: £8

Glasgow is proud to host the World Congress on Active Ageing 2012 and will offer a Public Programme and Senior Pass for the first time ever at the Congress. The Public Programme is designed to cater for inactive older people as well as those already active.

The Senior Pass gives you access to Educational Lectures and a Physical Activity Performance, led by older people.

Each day of the Congress has a different theme, so choose which day is of most interest to you. You will also have the opportunity to participate in the Experience Zone throughout the day. Refreshments are included, but bring your own lunch.

The Experience Zone has a range of brief ‘have a go/taster activities’ to keep you active and give you a taste of something new.

  • Choice of Physical Activities
  • Walking Tours
  • Dance workshops
  • Arts
  • Juggling
  • Functional Fitness MOTs
  • Cognition and IQ tests
  • Hearing Tests
  • Meet the Experts
  • Ideas on how to improve your health & wellbeing
  • And much more…
